Culinary School Questions?

Hi! I’m going to a culinary school open house/guided tour tomorrow, I’m very excited! The school is the Culinary Institute of Connecticut in Hartford, CT. I know it’s no Cordon Bleu or CIA, but it’s the best fit for my financial and geographical needs right now.

What questions should I ask on the tour/what things should I look for at the school? Any suggestions will greatly help!

Ask if they have any sort of a job placement program when you complete the course and what type of place you will be able to expect to employ you. Find out if you will have the knowledge to pass state licensing exams. Also ask if the credits are transferable to other schools.
